Трубопровод 'Набукко' в газовой войне

Вот такая статья появилась в Forbes на фоне нынешней газовой войны между Россией и Украиной. Пишут про Турцию и трубопровод 'Набукко':

The country of 71.8 million inhabitants, is the lynchpin of this project, as the pipeline would bring Azerbaijani gas to Austria through Turkey. There is a danger that if that Ankara's own energy needs aren't property [sic] met, a bottleneck could be created, leaving Europe at the mercy of political whims in Turkey, contended Andrew Neff, energy analyst at IHS Global Insight. "If you create a situation where Turkey is dependent on transit gas, I don't really see how this situation would be any different to the Ukraine for Europe," he said.

Первое что приходит в голову так это пожелать европейцам не замерзнуть зимой. Дурость Запада иногда ставит в тупик. Если 'Набукко' будет вторым источником газа для Европы то тогда каким образом Европа попадет в зависимость от Турции точно также как она сейчас находится в зависимости от Украины и ее отношений с Россией?
